Creatine for Ladies (Women)
Earlier, we mentioned the benefits of supplemental creatine. Now let's answer the all important question.
Do ladies need to take Creatine while working out?
The answer is yes - Creatine can help provide extra energy needed to maintain an intense workout.
But women don't need to load up on Creatine. In general, a daily dosage of about 5g will be enough. Men can sometimes take up to 20g per day if they are really thinking of bulking up.
However, most ladies don't want to bulk up. Instead, they want tone and shapely figures.
The female body is not built like a man. It contains more fat, and it's harder to build bulky muscles. Consuming a small amount of creatine will help because creatine acts as "transporters" for energy.
For this reason, a bottle of Creatine can last much longer for a woman than a man.
When you workout, you need creatine to move energy around in your body. If the level of creatine is low, you find that you tire more easily.
Remember, Creatine doesn't build muscle mass. It is not the same thing as protein. It merely transports energy. An average person can get his or her daily needs just be eating fresh meat. But if you are working out intensely, or if you forsee a busy month ahead, then creatine can help you stay more alert and active.
Creatine only comes from meat. So if you are a strict vegetarian, you may find yourself needing creatine supplements more than others.
Since Creatine is cheaply available, there shouldn't be too much hassle when it comes to buying the supplements. The buying decision is fairly straightforward.
If you need to be more active, more Creatine wouldn't hurt.
There are many brands available in the market though, and you do need to do some research.
Here is a list of Creatine products to get you started.
